The Wolverines qualified for last year’s tournament as a No. 2 seed but forfeited their opener against Minnesota Duluth because of COVID-19 protocols. They returned eight of their top nine scorers from last season and are the first team in NCAA history with seven first-round NHL draft picks on their roster.
